Backlog #2
We're catching up on our backlog of letters. Ray joins us from Sydney for this mini-episode. And he rode here..from Sydney...by bicycle.

Concept Art
One of our letters asked our opinions on Conceptart.org
We followed on from that to talk about CG society.
Housepets Comic
A web comic by Rick Griffin
We mentioned this comic in the show today, it's very witty and quite funny. Starring Grape and Peanut, and a cast of other awesome house-pet type Anthro pets. Check out the site for the full cast. Just imagine...if your kids were Anthro characters...and more mischevious.
Bacon Lube
No...we're not kidding. Though they may be.
Anthropod
Knotcast, a podcast hosted on the Anthropodcast direcory recently gave us a little plug, and one of their hosts listen to us. So we thought we'd return the favor and send you guys over their way.
URU online
Ray mentioned the online MMOG URU: online.
It's a child of the Myst game series, originally released as a standalone game, URU was re-released online as a multiplayer platform. Though it's currently offline it may...or may not...be picked up by Cyan worlds or another company and properly released. It may also go open source.
The sketch Kraden did
Stolen Generation almost all gone!
We talked about SG in the show again today.
Just a reminder if you were keen to pick one up they've only got one box of prints left. So pre-ordering is heavily advised.

Death Jellyfish
Fima sent us in info on the worlds worst jellyfish..ever!
With a name like the Irukandji [ear-ook-kanji] it sounds more like a species from middle earth rather than a box jellyfish; Roughly the size of an adult pinky nail. The first to try and prove that the two species caused the syndrome was Dr. Jack Barnes in 1964, who carefully captured the jellyfish and proceded to sting not just himself, but a lifeguard, AND HIS SON. [Gee, thanks dad]. Irukandji Syndrome has an onset delay of 5 minutes to 2 hours, and last from hours to days and the pain can't be helped with morphine. oh but wait, this isn't the best part; the sympotoms generally include excruciating muscle cramps in the arms & legs, severe pain in the back and kidneys, a burning sensation of the skin and face, headaches, nausea, restlessness, sweating, vomiting, high heart rate and blood pressure, and psychological phenomena which feels like impending death. [how they test that i'm not entirely sure... but guess who didn't getting a father's day present that year?]
