Our first wonky but excited steps into the world of social media, the fabled “season 0.5″, now on-line for the first official time.
The quality is low but the chatter is active. These few episodes hold a dear place in our hearts because they are, of a sense, our beginning. They are also a blessed time when we were able to have Kell Bengal on as a show host, a time I very much cherish.
So please enjoy our stumbling and excited steps into the world of social media, we sure enjoyed them when we took them

A retrospect:
Some of you may have had the er…honour?..of being part of our start up season. You see, when we first started this gig we were somewhat green and the equipment and site was nothing compared to what it is now.
In the blustery past of the year 2008, Kraden had just finished up an old podcast and still had the itch. He had just started dating a bubbly Jeneara who, it just so happened, thought podcasting would be a wonderful idea. But something was missing, a charm & intelligence, a…calming influence on the two jitterbugs. And so it was they asked their good friend Kell Bengal to join the team, a request which he accepted with gusto.
The equipment was an ancient mixer with components almost as old as the hosts, the microphones were as sensitive as a Buddhist’s ego, and as far as technical expertise, well lets say we’re surprised the show worked at-all half the time.
Fenris, Nanaki and Ray Liehm joined us from the transition into the new Podcast with Kraden, and we were very glad to have them.
But what we did have was passion! Podcasting is a labour of love, and despite the loss of multiple episodes due to power faiilure, a poor track record for equipment and the generation of the now popular phrase “blame Kraden!“, we happened to pull this ship together.

Season 0.5 – episode 1: Introductions, meets and conventions (46mb)
“Well that was a wonderful lurch to the beginning of the podcast. The FTP server was down so the show didn’t upload till now. We’ve been away in Melbourne and not abot (see it’s authentic, it even has my spelling issues ~ Kraden) to sort out the problem, and the live feed has issues.
Ahh teething. How we love our creative children. Even when they scream and flail in the shoppign malls of our minds.”
~ Kraden
Welcome to episode one. We discuss what it is we actually do on this show, bring you some new IGnobel awards, and discuss what it is that makes meets and conventions starts or failures.

Season 0.5, episode 3: furry survey (53mb)
Well…fourth time luckly. Keep your fingetrs crosssed it works this time.
We’re finally back from MIDfur and can concentrate on all this. Ep3 is about the furry survey as well as our normal connundrum of chit-chat and attempts at astronomical wit. Oh and remember, no matter what it’s Kradens fault (heck I even have an official association for it now).
We tried to get Kyle evans, who collected the data for the survey on air but worked nabbed him at the last moment. So instead we interviewed Carnival, Tempa, Koneko and BloodFox. Background music is by Sekonda Huest, middle segment by Xvolt (both on Fur Affinity respectively)
Fen returns with another rant too. Enjoy the show everyone!
Season 0.5, episode 4: Post Midfur X (2009) show (43mb)

Extras:
Our original intro music
Oh man does this bring back memories. I remember being particularly proud of the computer vocalists correctly saying our name. Something I had to cut, re-time and edit to get right, and something we end up doing regularly for the audio play segments these days. And the fact that one of them sounded like the (at that time) president George W. Bush Jr., ahh…priceless.

And some old show artwork I found. Congratulations is you remember these
